Transport of Psychiatric Patients

Effective Immediately . . . this directive rescinds the directive of April 12, 2010 . . .
For the transport of psychiatric patients, the following criteria will be used:

  • A stable Baker Act patient without substantial medical issues . . . . . will be transported to SSH
  • A Baker Act patient with medical issues . . . will be transported to the nearest facility


South Seminole Hospital has a new CEO, this has been discussed with him by Dr. Parekh and the above is what they determined to be the criteria to be utilized.
