Section 1 - ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES
1.24 SCHOOL MEDICATION AUTHORIZATION FORMS
- Seminole County students with certain medical conditions may have a Medication Authorization form. If this form is also signed by the Medical Director, Seminole County Paramedics are authorized to administer the medications on that form. If it is a medication that is not carried on an EMS unit, the school should have sufficient dose on hand to treat the condition.
- Examples may be
- Student with adrenal insufficiency may be prescribed Solu-Cortef
- Student may have seizure disorder that is non-responsive to Valium may have a form that says to give Midazolam instead.
