ELECTROLYTE

Hypertonic Saline / 3% Saline

DESCRIPTION Strong saline solution used to shift fluid out of the cells and decrease intercranial pressure

INDICATIONS Traumatic Brain Injury

PRECAUTIONS None found

DOSAGE

Pediatrics - 5 ml/kg IV/IO utilizing 10 gtts drip set.
Max dose 250 ml
