RE: Florida Hospital East Pediatric ED

Florida Hospital East recently opened a pediatric emergency department separate from the adult emergency department.

The Pediatric ED is open 24/7 . . . however a pediatric physician is only on staff from 1pm to 11pm daily. The Pediatric ED is staffed full time with mid-level practitioners.

The Pediatric ED does not have separate radios as of yet . . . therefore crews are to contact the adult side and enter through the adult side.

The adult side ED will put eyes on the patient and then will direct crews to the proper area.

Please make sure all crews are aware of this informational memo.
