RE: Transport of SEPSIS Patients to Freestanding Clinics

Please be advised that it is extremely important that every crew is aware of the status of our local hospitals and free standing centers. Please take all appropriate patients to facilities that are not in a red status. We do not transport alerts to free standing centers EXCEPT . . one new exception. We can transport SEPSIS alerts to free standings. As always when making a destination decision consider keeping a patient within the system that they have been treated previously.
