5.16 Vertigo
INITIAL MEDICAL CARE (2.01) – Provide OXYGEN or assist ventilations as appropriate for patient condition.
- In the presence of signs and symptoms of TRUE VERTIGO, i.e.: Complaints of movement at rest with profound nausea, administer PROMETHAZINE OR ZOFRAN as appropriate.
- Support patients head from movement. Move patient slowly. Sudden changes in head positions worsen the patient’s condition.
